valley near Capel Curing with its mountains majestically bathed in the sunlight
which dances on the stream.

A London painter of landscape scenes with views of the southern countries,
Wales and Scotland. He exhibited at The Royal Academy 1865 - 1903, The Royal
Institute of Oil Painters, The Royal Society of British Artists, The Walker
Gallery, Liverpool, Manchester City Art Gallery and elsewhere.
His son was Alfred Glendening Junior, who was also a pupil of his father's
fine artistry.
