A landscape view of the Lake District in the early morning, with sheep and cattle grazing the peaceful autumnal sunlight. The trees are just turning from green to a beautiful burnt gold in this idyllic classical scene.


A founder member of The Old Watercolour Society, and a specialist painter in oils and watercolours, mainly of landscape subjects set in the Lake District, Wales and Dovedale.

His prime feature was his foliage drawing. He exhibited at The Royal Academy, and The Royal Society of British Artists.
