A Birmingham landscape watercolourist who lived in Stevenson Place, Birmingham.
In 1890 he moved to Devon where he was known as 'the Artist of the Dart'.
He worked in both oils and watercolours, exhibiting 74 works at The Royal
Society of Artists, The New Watercolour Society and elsewhere in London.
His subjects were mainly landscape, coastal and river scenes. He was especially
noted for his effects of mist and sunlight.
